Brandywine Battlefield

Brandywine Battlefield National Historic Landmark encompasses over 50 square miles covering 15 municipalities in two counties.  The Park Associates take the lead role in interpreting the battlefield to visitors and also participates in efforts to preserve the entire National Historic Landmark.

The Brandywine Battlefield Park preserves and interprets for visitors and citizens the Battle of Brandywine and its impact on the course and outcome of the American Revolution, focusing on the Philadelphia Campaign, and the Battle’s effect on the local community. 

Brandywine Battlefield park is in southeastern PA, about one mile east of Chadds Ford, PA on US 1.

Brandywine River Museum

Renowned for its holdings of the Wyeth family of artists, the Museum features galleries dedicated to the work of N. C. Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth and Jamie Wyeth. The Museum’s outstanding Heritage Collection is a cross section of American art, with a special focus on artistic practice in the Brandywine valley. Nineteenth- and twentieth-century landscape paintings testify to the beauty which drew well-known artists to the area. Important portraits, still life paintings and notable holdings in American illustration add diversity and breadth to this unique collection.
